Specialist Daily Stone Cleaning & Planned Maintenance Services

Natural stone floors need a cleaning routine suited to the material and its finish. Products that are too acidic or abrasive may dull or etch some stones, particularly marble and limestone. A maintenance plan should take account of the stone type, how the area is used, the existing seal and the finish you want to keep.

Routine cleaning and periodic care

Stone Rescue helps plan daily cleaning for domestic and commercial stone surfaces, alongside periodic deeper cleaning when ordinary maintenance is no longer enough. A routine can cover appropriate cleaning products, how to deal with spills, and when to review the condition of grout and sealers. The aim is to maintain the appearance of the floor between more intensive treatments.

For busier spaces, the cleaning schedule should reflect traffic and how the floor is used. Facilities staff can be shown the recommended product and application method for the particular surface. Before changing a cleaning product or applying a sealer, check that it is compatible with the stone and any existing treatment.

When cleaning is not enough

Routine cleaning removes day-to-day soil; it does not repair chips or remove scratches and etching in the stone itself. If the finish has become uneven or worn, a separate stone floor restoration and polishing assessment may be needed. Photographs of the full area and close-ups of problem patches help us recommend whether maintenance, a deeper clean or restoration is appropriate.
