The patio was installed about a couple of months ago, and the contractor has been sealant the floor with acrylic coating sealant. Due to poor floor preparation and {potential} moisture trapped in the stone, the floor starts to reject the sealant bonding and become a yellowish colour and pill off locally.


Stone Rescue removed the sealant chemically and mechanically, allow the stone to dry correctly and seal the patio with impregnator sealant.


We urge the clients and the contractors to avoid coating sealants due to special application conditions and costly removal. Please double-check the sealant label and/or contact a stone restoration company to seek a piece of advice.
