Stone worktop repair and restoration

Chips, scratches, dull patches, stains and acid etching do not all need the same treatment. Stone Rescue assesses the material, its existing finish and the damage before recommending a suitable approach for a stone worktop. We work with surfaces including marble, limestone, granite and engineered stone; the options and limitations vary by material.

Is it a stain, an etch or surface damage?

A stain may absorb into a porous surface, while an acid etch changes the finish of acid-sensitive stone. A chip or crack needs a separate repair assessment. Cleaning alone will not reverse every etch or damaged edge. Please tell us the stone type if known, how the mark occurred and whether a coating or sealer has been applied before.

What to send for an assessment
