Re-fresh & clean wood floor
The re-fresh & clean wood floor process involves deep cleaning of the floor with floor rotary machines and strong chemical cleaner . All our chemicals are environmental friendly and VOC free.
Next step will light sanding the floor mesh/sandpaper disc – prepare the floor for lacquer or oil.
The final stage is to apply coat of lacquer, oil or solvent sealant. Depending on the pre-existing protection, it cannot be mixed up – e.g. to use oil on top of the lacquer
NOTE:
in this process, it will not be removed, any scratch or deep stain. For scratches removal, we recommend the Sanding and polishing process.
When is a wood floor refresh suitable?
A refresh is intended for a wood floor whose existing finish has become dull or marked by everyday use, while the boards themselves remain in sound condition. We clean the surface, prepare it with a light abrasion where appropriate, then renew the protective finish. A survey matters because an oiled floor and a lacquered floor need different products; applying one finish over an incompatible existing coating can cause poor adhesion or an uneven result.
What the assessment covers
Before work starts, the existing coating, condition of the boards and areas of heavy wear should be checked. This helps determine whether a clean and recoat is sufficient and whether the floor needs any local preparation. The refreshed finish can improve appearance and make routine care easier, but it does not remove deep scratches, ingrained stains or damage within the timber.
