Marble stone shower area restoration
Description:
This London project concerns restoration of stone surfaces in a marble shower area. The stated scope included addressing water marks and water-related damage, repolishing to a shiny appearance, then applying a high-solids sealer and wax finish. The gallery shows the shower setting, nearby wall surfaces and working area.
Marks in wet rooms can arise from limescale, soap residue or changes to the marble itself. Each cause requires a suitable approach; polishing can refine a dulled surface but does not solve an underlying leak or waterproofing defect. A sealer may reduce some staining and does not make marble waterproof or immune to acid etching. Regular cleaning with products suitable for the stone remains necessary. The photographs document this assignment’s appearance. Another shower should be assessed for stone type, joints, drainage and moisture source before choosing treatments.
