Sealing swimming pool surroundings
Description:
This London-area project gallery records sealing of the stone around a swimming pool. The photographs show the pool surroundings from several viewpoints, providing context for the surface and adjacent water rather than just a close-up of the treatment. Pool surrounds have frequent moisture exposure and require a different assessment from a dry interior floor.
Before choosing a sealer, the material, any existing coating, drainage and cleaning routine should be checked. An impregnating treatment may help reduce staining in suitable stone, but sealing does not make a surface waterproof or prove a particular slip resistance. The original case notes do not identify the stone or a product specification, so a coating or safety rating should not be inferred from the images. The gallery illustrates this assignment. For another pool area, assess the actual surface and test slip resistance where that matters.
