Stone worktop chip and crack repair

Chips around a sink, damaged edges and cracks in a worktop need a repair matched to the material and finish. Stone Rescue assesses marble, granite, limestone and other stone or engineered surfaces before recommending a local repair. A worktop chip repair may involve preparing the area, selecting a suitable resin or filler and finishing the repair to sit as naturally as possible with the surrounding surface.

What affects the repair method?

• The material and whether it has a natural pattern, coating or previous repair.
• The size and depth of the chip or crack, especially at an exposed edge or cut-out.
• Access, colour matching, finish and any movement in the worktop.

Not every crack is cosmetic or suitable for filling. We will explain the likely appearance and limits of a repair after assessing photographs and, where needed, the surface on site. We do not promise an invisible result for every material.
